Yes. Cancel from your account page and you stay on your paid tier until the end of the billing period, then drop to Free automatically. No cancellation fee, no "are you sure" guilt-trip.
We let you finish the current message so we don't cut you off mid-thought. After that you'll see an upgrade prompt. Your history is saved — nothing is lost. On the Free tier, your quota resets on the first of the next month.
One message you send plus its reply counts as one message against your quota. Timeline-scrubbing, browsing subjects, or loading a page don't count. TTS plays count separately — and we cache, so replaying the same reply doesn't double-charge you.
If you're signed in on Plus or Scholar, yes — your conversation history is saved to your account. If you're on Free, the last five are kept. You can export or delete anything at any time from the account page.
Conversations and personal data are hard-deleted within 30 days. We keep anonymized usage counts for financial records (Stripe requires this) for 7 years. Nothing that identifies you stays.
We ground every reply in the figure's actual surviving writings and lock what they "know" to the date you pick on the timeline. That makes it much better than a generic chatbot pretending to be Lincoln. But it's still a probabilistic model reading real text — treat it as a starting point, not a citation. We show sources with every answer so you can verify.
Yes. Scholar tier includes API access, and we offer a classroom add-on (+$20/mo for 10 seats) on top of Scholar. If you're a teacher who wants to run a pilot with students, email [email protected] and we'll comp a semester.
The Free tier is the trial. 30 messages per month, no credit card, no expiration. If you want more, pay for a month — and the 14-day refund applies if it wasn't a fit.

We'd give 60 days' notice, stop billing, and let you export everything in your account. We're a small operation — no VC pressure to flip or fold unexpectedly.
